Our Story
Why I Trust Thymic Protein A
and why Humanset exists.
I didn't come to Thymic Protein A through a single moment of discovery or a business idea. My familiarity with it developed gradually over more than two decades, through family connections, professional work, and eventually through taking full responsibility for the business itself. Over that time, my understanding of what TPA is, how it's made, and how it differs from most immune products deepened steadily.
I wasn't handed certainty. I grew into it.
THE BACKGROUND — Before It Was Personal
For many years, my involvement with TPA was largely professional and observational. I understood the history and the science at a high level. I had firsthand exposure to its use in animal health, including its approvals for feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and later canine osteoarthritis under USDA oversight. I helped design websites, marketing materials, and supported industry trade shows connected to that work.
I believed in it. But belief is easy when the stakes are theoretical.
That changed on January 24, 2014.
AVERY — The Moment That Changed Everything
That was the day my five-year-old daughter, Avery, was diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis — a very rare and incurable autoimmune disease. While in the hospital, doctors explained that the standard treatment protocol for children with this condition closely mirrors how cancer and inflammatory arthritis are treated in adults, often involving aggressive immune-altering therapies.
Sitting there as parents, my wife and I immediately recognized the overlap. Those were the same categories where Thymic Protein A had already been studied and, in its veterinary form, approved for use. We weren't thinking like business operators in that moment. We were parents making a decision in the middle of real uncertainty... leaning on science, leaning on trust, and leaning on faith.
At that point, I wasn't working for the company at all. I wouldn't formally step into a role on the supplement side until September of 2017. But TPA had a long history of use, a known safety profile, and it came from someone we trusted deeply. So we made the decision to include it alongside the treatment plan Avery was already receiving. Not as a replacement for medical care. As a tool we trusted, from a source we knew, guided by something bigger than either of us.
I want to be very clear: autoimmune disease is complex, and healing is never attributable to a single factor. I'm not claiming Thymic Protein A caused any specific outcome.
What I can say is this: Avery's path looked different from what we were told to expect. We are grateful beyond words for where she is today. Over time, it became impossible for us to ignore that one of the meaningful differences in her journey was the presence of Thymic Protein A.
That experience permanently changed how I viewed this product... not as an abstract supplement, but as a tool I had already chosen when the stakes were as high as they could be.
THE PATTERN — It Didn't Stop There
In the years since, I've seen similar patterns among people close to us. My mother, for example, faced a situation where her treatment was on hold due to concerns about her blood work. After starting Thymic Protein A, things moved in a direction that allowed her care to continue.
I'm not making claims. I'm explaining why I trust this product... and why that trust has only deepened over time.
THE STANDARD — Why It Matters How We Operate
What continues to motivate me is the disconnect I see between access and impact. Many immune-related interventions involve hospitalizations, infusions, biologics, and long-term treatments that can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, Humanset is built around a product with decades of history, serious scientific roots, and real-world use, offered in a form that is accessible and affordable.
That matters to me.
It's also why Humanset has always focused on immune modulation, not immune boosting. Avery's diagnosis taught me that more immune activity is not always better. Balance matters. Specificity matters. And very few products even attempt to respect that nuance.
Everything we do at Humanset traces back to that original decision, one made years before I took on a leadership role and long before this became my full-time responsibility. We operate conservatively. We avoid hype. We draw clear boundaries around what we can and cannot say.
Humanset exists at the intersection of faith, family, and science. That's not a tagline. It's the actual story of how this company came to be and why it operates the way it does.
We stand behind Thymic Protein A not because it sells well... but because we've already trusted it when the outcome mattered more than anything else.
That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
