Humanset is not a supplement company in the traditional sense. We don't have a product line built on trends. We have one ingredient—Thymic Protein A—and everything we do exists to get it to the people who need it.

Thymic Protein A (TPA) is a naturally occurring protein produced by the thymus gland. It activates and matures the T-cells that coordinate your immune response. As the thymus declines with age, so does the body's ability to produce functional T-cells. TPA is the only supplement in the world that directly addresses that decline.

Terry's Story

The Scientist Behind the Protein

Dr. Terry Beardsley, PhD, spent eight years at Baylor College of Medicine and UCLA/UCSD before making the discovery that would define his life's work. In 1983, his research was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and communicated by Nobel laureate Nathan O. Kaplan. The paper identified a protein produced by cloned thymic epithelial cells that could trigger the maturation of immature T-cells into fully functional immune responders. He named it Thymic Protein A.

That was not the end of the work. It was the beginning of it.

For more than 35 years, Dr. Beardsley has been the sole manufacturer of TPA, produced at a single lab in Murrieta, California under his direct supervision. He holds three US patents covering the composition, production, and therapeutic application of TPA. The NIH recognized it as an effective immune regulatory protein. The USDA licensed an injectable form of the same protein for veterinary use — the only product of its kind ever approved.

He didn't build a supplement empire. He built one thing, carefully, and has protected its integrity for 35 years. That is the foundation Humanset stands on.

Discovering Our "Why"

Steve Paterson, President of Humanset, came to TPA the way most people come to things that matter... not through a business decision, but through a personal one.

His connection to Thymic Protein A predates his role at the company by years. He first encountered it through family, then through design and marketing work supporting the brand. Understanding the science came gradually. But understanding something and truly trusting it are different things.

On January 24, 2014, his five-year-old daughter Avery was diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease. In the middle of that uncertainty, and before he had any formal role at the company, he and his wife made the decision to include TPA alongside Avery's medical treatment. Not as a replacement for care. As a tool they trusted, from a source they knew.

He is careful about what he claims. Healing is complex, and no single factor explains any outcome. What he can say is that Avery's path from diagnosis to remission looked meaningfully different from many others diagnosed around the same time... and that it became impossible to ignore the role TPA may have played.

That experience is why Humanset operates the way it does. Conservatively. Honestly. With a clear line between what the science supports and what it doesn't.
